Hip-hip-HooRAY, it’s MORE JOY DAY
Everybody in the world, rejoice! I bring good news from the land of awesome:
It is officially More Joy Day. Which means that everything upon this day is automatically awesome.
You cannot have a bad attitude upon this day, this wonderful day that comes but once a year. It’s simpler than Christmas, because there’s no commercialism. It’s better than Easter, because the chocolate sellers aren’t as pushy and all the good stuff is still in the store. It’s more fun than ANZAC Day (I’m an Army Brat, it’s Happy ANZAC Day), because the stores are open and you can go shoe shopping if you like. It’s cooler than Spend Money Week (I have this once every five weeks or so) because it’s a single day. It’s more crazy fun than being the only sober person in a room full of funny-drunks, because you know there’ll be no vomit.
So go on.
Do something greatness. Go forth and bring More Joy.
(P.S.: Anybody who wants me tonight, I’m out seeing Repo. I promise to not get drunk, but there will likely be singing.)
